Woman, 90, has bag snatched

Heartless thieves have snatched the handbag of a 90-year-old woman at a shopping centre in north Queensland.

On Monday the woman was putting her walker into the boot of her car when her handbag fell on the ground of the Townsville shopping centre carpark and was grabbed by thieves.

Police, who are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, said the handbag was later found empty and dumped at a childcare centre carpark.
