Watchdog clears Qld fraud squad project

Queensland's corruption watchdog may have cleared police officers of any criminal conduct following an investigation into a fraud prevention project, but it still has a few issues with some officers.

The Crime and Corruption Commission investigated the fraud and cyber crime group's management and operation of Project Synergy for the misuse of corporate credit cards and inappropriate travel.

The CCC say action may be taken against one officer over financial management practices, and there are other allegations about procedural and policy breaches but they did not constitute criminal conduct.
