Violent housemate fight in Brisbane's west

A woman has been headbutted and a man bashed with a metal pole during a fight between housemates in Brisbane's west.

The altercation at the home in Inala began when two women started arguing with a man and a woman on Wednesday night.

The two women left and returned with male friends, who police allege assaulted the 41-year-old man with a metal pole, rock and chain.

A 24-year-old woman allegedly punched and headbutted a 19-year-old female, leaving her with broken teeth.

The two victims escaped and called emergency services.

They were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where the man was treated for a serious head wound.

Police found the 24-year-old woman at the home with a head injury and she was taken to QEII Jubilee Hospital.

She has been charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and enter premises with intent.

She is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on Thursday.
