Two people killed in fiery Queensland crash

Two people are dead after a crash near Gladstone. (WIN)
A large pipe that fell off the back of a truck is believed to be the cause of a fiery crash that killed two people in Queensland.
Police say the vehicle burst into flames after hitting the pipe on the Bruce Highway, about 5km north of Mount Larcom near Gladstone, early this morning.

The two people travelling in the car died at the scene.
"It is believed that the pipe has fallen of a truck travelling in the other direction just prior to the crash," a statement from police said.
The truck driver stopped his vehicle and has spoken to police.
