Two more charged over death of Qld father

Two more men have been charged with murder over the shooting death of a 48-year-old man during a home invasion in Queensland.

Michael Menzel was allegedly gunned down in his home at Gleneagle, southwest of Brisbane, when disguised men broke into his home last week.

The shooting sparked an interstate manhunt with the arrest of three men, two of whom were extradited from NSW.

A 29-year-old man from Yarrabilba was charged on Tuesday night after he was extradited from Dubbo in NSW. Police also charged a 32-year-old from Beaudesert.

The two men are due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The first man to be charged, Matthew David Taylor, 28, did not appear when his murder charge was mentioned in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday. He was remanded in custody until November 25.

Taylor was arrested by NSW police at Port Macquarie on Sunday, and charged with murder following his extradition to Queensland on Tuesday.

Mr Menzel's teenage daughter witnessed the alleged shooting but she was not hurt.
