Two men killed in Qld road crashes

Two men have died in separate road crashes in Queensland.

A 63-year-old man died when a car and a four-wheel drive collided at Craignish, near Hervey Bay, about 6pm (AEST) on Tuesday. The other driver, 44, suffered serious injuries.

Two hours earlier a motorcyclist, 48, died when his bike was hit by a four-wheel drive, with both vehicles then crashing into a parked bus at Smithfield, just north of Cairns.

The male driver of the four-wheel drive was not hurt.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating both fatalities.
