Three dead in horror day on Qld roads

Three people have died in two separate road crashes in Queensland.

Two people died after their hatchback collided with a utility on Gillies Range Road at Yungaburra, near Atherton, on Monday afternoon.

The utility driver suffered a neck injury and was airlifted to Cairns Base Hospital.

A man also died after his motorcycle collided with a car on Johnson Road at Forestdale in southeast Queensland.

A 12-year-old girl in the car was taken to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital with abdominal injuries, while the male driver was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
