Two charged over Qld toddler minibus death

Two people have been charged with manslaughter after a toddler was found dead inside a minibus near Cairns.

Police say the child was picked up to attend a local daycare centre from a home in Edmonton on Tuesday morning.

The boy was then allegedly left unattended inside the vehicle before he was found dead about 3.15pm.

The bus driver - a 45-year-old Bentley Park man - and a Manunda woman, 34, who was also on the bus, will face Cairns Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
