Two charged in violent Qld robbery

Two men have been charged over a violent home invasion in Queensland where two people were chased through their home with a baseball bat.

Four men broke into a house at Nambour on Friday night, kicking in the front door and smashing windows with the bat.

They chased a man and woman through the house, demanding cash before fleeing with a purse and wallet, police say.

The woman was allegedly hit in the head by one of the thieves.

A 20-year-old man is facing three charges including robbery with violence while armed in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Another man, 19, was charged on the weekend and will appear in court on August 4.
