Two charged after Queensland man allegedly kidnapped, left in bin

Two men have been charged after a man was allegedly kidnapped, beaten and left in an industrial bin east of Brisbane.

Police say the two men forcibly removed a man from a house on Barron Road in Birkdale at 4am on Monday and put him in the back of a vehicle.

It is alleged the men then drove the 20-year-old to Judy Holt Park where he was assaulted before being placed in an industrial bin.

The two men then left the scene in the car while the victim went for help at a nearby house and contacted police.

Yesterday detectives charged a 26-year-old man from Deception Bay and a 21-year-old man from Holland Park West with kidnapping, entering a dwelling with intent, receiving tainted property, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm, whilst armed/in company, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Two pair are set to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court later today.
