Two arrested after drug raids in north Qld

A man and woman have been charged with multiple drug offences after police raids found commercial-scale drug labs in Townsville.

Police wrapped up a six-month operation by raiding two commercial properties in the north Queensland city on Tuesday as well as a home in the suburb of Gulliver.

The raids uncovered two commercial scale drug labs which police say was being used to manufacture methylamphetamine.

Police seized $250,000 worth of meth, $66,000 in cash, as well as weapons, including a sawn-off shotgun and Tasers.

A 40-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, who were arrested at the property in Gulliver, have been charged with several drug offences will face Townsville Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
