Train services resume after overhead power line causes commuter chaos in Brisbane

Passengers in south-east Queensland have faced major delays this morning after an overhead power line came down at the Bowen Hills Station.

Initially all trains were suspended however most lines have now reopened.

Trains are operating from Ferny Grove to Mitchelton with buses operating between Mitchelton and Roma Street stations.

Customers can expect delays of up to an hour on the Ferny Grove line.

Trains are running on all other lines with delays of up to 45 minutes to some services travelling through the CBD.

Queensland Rail said it was working as quickly as it could restore services.
