Townsville raids leads to eight arrests
Detectives have uncovered dangerous drugs, guns, and logos of a declared criminal bikie gang in several north Queensland properties.
Police raids in Townsville in the past four days have resulted in the confiscation of ecstasy, LSD, cannabis and a number of weapons, including a shotgun, flick knife and high-powered rifle.
A large quantity of banners and material containing the logo of outlawed Odins Warriors gang were found at one of the properties, police say.
The raids have led to eight people being charged with 15 offences, including possession of dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of explosives, drug utensils and unlawful possession of weapons.
"Once again we are locating and seizing unlawful weapons and drugs during these operations which, importantly, creates a safer community for all," Detective Inspector Brendan Smith said.
