Senior cop snubs 'leak' officer

A Queensland policeman who allegedly leaked CCTV footage of colleagues assaulting a handcuffed man says he was snubbed by a high-ranking officer ahead of a dispute resolution meeting.

Sergeant Rick Flori met with southeast region Acting Assistant Commissioner Steve Hollands, Deputy Commissioner Stephan Gollschewski, Assistant Commissioner Clem O'Regan and Deputy Superintendent Mick Niland at the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal in Brisbane on Monday.

It's understood the confidential meeting followed a bullying complaint made by Sgt Flori, who claims he's been under constant attack since he was charged with leaking the footage.

Just prior to the meeting, Sgt Flori went to shake hands with Assistant Commissioner Hollands but said he was rebuffed.

"I was quite appalled really," Sgt Flori, 44, said afterwards.

"That's a sign of the mentality of some people I guess."

Sgt Flori last week appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court on a charge of criminal misconduct in public office.

The charge relates to the leaking of CCTV footage showing police officers assaulting Noa Begic in Surfers Paradise in January 2012.

Last week, Sgt Flori said he'd been under constant attack since being charged.

On Monday, he said he was unable to comment on what was discussed during the dispute the meeting conducted by a QCAT member, due to a non-publication order.

"I'm fighting so hard to try and keep this matter transparent and you have no idea what I'm up against," the 25-year police veteran said.

Deputy Commissioner Gollschewski said there would be a hearing later this year and he was hopeful of a resolution.
