Third strike at XXXX brewery

Workers have walked off the job at the XXXX Brisbane brewery this morning, in their third strike of the past month.

The action at the Milton plant has been caused by ongoing enterprise bargaining negotiations with management.

The union has claimed beer production could move away from Queensland, but this has been rejected by XXXX management.

United Voice Queensland spokesman Damien Davie said the iconic brew should only be made in Queensland.

"It's just not right; this is a legendary Queensland beer, which should be made exclusively here in Queensland, by Queenslanders," Mr Davie said earlier this year.

Brewery director Irene Bell has rejected that claim.

"XXXX was born here, it's brewed here and the brewery's not going anywhere," she said.
