A third person has been charged with the murder of a Gold Coast bikie associate more than a decade ago.

Finks associate Darren Britza died after a brutal bashing at a panel-beating workshop at Southport in March 2001.

His remains were found in a shallow grave at Boyland in the Gold Coast hinterland in 2008 after being unearthed by record rainfall.

Police have now charged a third person, a 34-year-old Bundaberg man, with Britza's murder.

Jade Maree Clarke, 40, was convicted of his murder in May and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Another man, Dean Mark Wills, was also charged alongside Clarke in 2009.

The latest man to be charged will appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday.
