Teens charged over Qld detention protest

Seven teenagers have been charged over a rooftop protest at a youth detention centre west of Brisbane which resulted in a guard being injured.
The teens climbed onto the roof of the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre at Wacol about 2pm on Monday.
A male staff member suffered an eye injury during the disturbance.

Four 15-year-old boys have been charged with three counts each of serious assault of a public officer as well as wilful damage and other offences.
Two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy have been charged with four counts each of serious assault of a public officer and other offences.
