Teen shot on Gold Coast hotel balcony

A teenager has been shot in the arm while on a hotel balcony in Surfers Paradise.

Police believe the shot came from a neighbouring unit in the complex, on the corner of Cavill Ave and the Gold Coast Highway on Saturday night.

Officers were called about 10.45pm. The 18-year-old was hit in the upper arm and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
