Former Islamic bookshop owner Omar Succarieh will face a judge-only trial as he fights allegations of extortion.
Succarieh, who last year pleaded guilty to foreign incursion charges, is due to stand trial in the Brisbane District Court later this month charged with intending to gain a benefit with threat of detriment.
On Monday, Brisbane District Court Judge Leanne Clare ruled in favour of an application to have the case heard as a judge-only trial.

Queensland's Department of Public Prosecutions is appealing against the four-and-a-half year jail sentence handed to Succarieh last year for the foreign incursion charges.
