Strong gusts wreak havoc in Brisbane
AAP
Power has been restored to more than 35,000 southeast Queensland homes and businesses after strong winds damaged roofs and brought down trees and powerlines.
State Emergency Service crews responded to more than 73 jobs on Friday night as gale force gusts of up to 76km/h wreaked havoc in Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region.
Most of the 38,000 Energex customers who lost power have since been reconnected while Water Police have urged boat owners to check for damage.
