Thunderstorms, wind and heavy rain threaten to delay flights at Brisbane airport with passengers urged to check airlines for possible changes to travel plans.
Areas in south-east Queensland , stretching from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast, are set to receive up to 20mm of rain and wind speeds of more than 20km/h today.
Gusty thunderstorms are expected to accompany the showers from late this morning, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM).
