Stolen car flips and rolls in Qld: police

A police chase has ended dramatically with a stolen vehicle flipping and rolling down an embankment on Brisbane's southside.

Police say officers tried to intercept the car twice at Virginia before it crashed on the Gateway Motorway more than 25km away at Rochedale and flipped before rolling down the embankment early on Sunday morning.

The accused driver, who was found nearby and treated in hospital for minor injuries, is expected to face a number of charges in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 18.
