Still hope for Qld lockout law reversal

Lockout law protest organiser Nick Braban remains hopeful the Palaszczuk government will rethink its lockout law before it comes into effect in February.

The first changes to Queensland's licensing laws start on Friday when the selling of alcohol will cease at 2am, or if a venue is located within a designated `safe night' precinct, the cut off will be 3am.

Mr Braban, who is the president of the Valley Liquor Accord, told AAP there's still time for the licensing laws to change and Sunday's protest in the CBD shows people do not agree with the government's position on how to reduce alcohol fuelled violence.
