Stabbing victim attacks paramedics outside Gold Coast home

A stabbing victim has lashed out at paramedics who were treating him outside a Gold Coast home.

The man was being tended to in Broadbeach Waters this afternoon when he suddenly leaped from a stretcher and tore out a drip.

In video obtained by 9NEWS, the shirtless man can be seen confronting a paramedic before throwing punches at police officers.

He was eventually restrained and taken to hospital.

Police are yet to locate the man's attacker.
