Slasher charged over Qld knife attack

A 66-year-old Queensland man accused of slashing another man with a knife during a fight in a front yard of an Ipswich home has been charged.

The 62-year-old victim received non-life-threatening injuries in the attack at Redbank Plains on Tuesday morning and was taken to hospital.

The accused, who knew his victim, will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, police said.
