Sledgehammer, gun used in Bris unit raid

Police are hunting for a number of attackers who used a sledgehammer to try to force their way inside a Brisbane unit, before opening fire with a gun.

Two people were in the Mt Gravatt East unit when attackers started bashing at the door with a sledgehammer about 2.40am on Friday.

The door was damaged before a gun was fired into the unit.

The two people inside were not hurt.

Police are hunting for the offenders, and a crime scene has been established at the property. Officers want to hear from anyone who saw or heard the commotion.
