Nine schoolies hospitalised

Nine schoolies have been taken to hospital on the Gold Coast as paramedics worked their busiest night so far this party season.

Police say they were mostly happy with the behaviour of the school leavers on day six of celebrations.

On Wednesday night they charged three teens and handed another 32 of them liquor infringement notices.

Ninety-six school leavers were looked at by paramedics and nine were taken to hospital for treatment.

Special events coordinator Justin Payne says it was the party strip's busiest night to date.
