Shots fired during home invasion in south-east Queensland

Two shots were fired inside a home in southeast Queensland and several people were assaulted after two men entered and sparked a confrontation with the occupants last night.

Police were called to the address in the Ipswich suburb of Redbank at around 8pm.

It's alleged a fight broke out after two men entered the property, with several people suffering minor injuries, though none have made complaints to police.

Police say a firearm was fired into a ceiling but no one was injured as a result of the discharge.

The intruders fled from from the scene.
