Qld police investigate series of shootings

Shots have been fired at three cars in the space of 24 hours in southeast Queensland.

Police say the first incident happened at 1.45am on Thursday when shots were fired into a car parked in the driveway of a Maudsland home.

The car was unoccupied and no one was injured.

At 3.30am a man was driving northbound on the Pacific Motorway at Rochedale when he heard something hit his ute.

He saw the driver of a car pointing what he believed was a firearm towards him and heard another object hit his ute, before the car left the highway.

The 30-year-old wasn't injured but police say there were two bullet holes in his ute.

Finally, about 8.10pm two shots were fired at a car driving south on the Pacific Motorway at Coomera.

The driver was not hurt and police investigations are continuing to establish if the shootings are linked.
