Severe storm dumps hail west of Brisbane

A severe thunderstorm has dumped hail west of Brisbane, in parts of the Somerest region.

The Somerset town of Minden was blanketed in hail during the short-lived storm. 

The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) issued a severe storm warning for Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan at 5.20pm, but cancelled the warning just before 6pm.

However, the storms may still bring small hail to parts of southeast Queensland and further warnings will be issued if necessary, BoM advised.
