Queensland Speaker Peter Wellington referred a sixth opposition MP to the Ethics Committee for talking about an investigation into embattled Police Minister Jo-Ann Miller in parliament.

Former deputy premier Jeff Seeney will face the parliament's disciplinary body after he failed to back up his claim Labor MP Peter Russo used the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Committee to leak the Miller investigation as part of a Labor factional war.

"Members should not make any charges or allegations against other members without supporting or substantiating those allegations by some proof," Mr Wellington told the House.

The Speaker has already referred Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg, deputy leader John-Paul Langbroek and opposition frontbenchers Scott Emerson, Tim Nicholls and Jarrod Bleijie to the Ethics Committee for asking about Miller during Question Time.
