Second Qld rider dies in as many days

A second Queensland motorcyclist has died in as many days after crashing into a tree.

Police say the 38-year-old lost control while riding on a track alongside the Chinchilla Tara Road at Chinchilla on the western Darling Downs on Sunday afternoon.

The local man hit a tree and a metal sign and died in Chinchilla Hospital from his injuries.

On Saturday afternoon, another motorcyclist died in similar circumstances.

The 46-year-old lost control of his bike and hit a tree in Yarrabilba in Queensland's southeast.
