Search on for missing Queensland lotto winners

The hunt is on for two Queensland lotto winners who are yet to claim their million dollar prizes a month after they were drawn.

A $1.34m division one prize that was drawn on New Year's Eve remains unclaimed after the ticket was purchased from Lutwyche News and Gifts on Brisbane's northside.

Another $1 million winning ticket was sold by Cotton Tree News in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast on December 19 but its owner has yet to emerge.

Neither ticket was registered so officials have no clues to help contact the buyers.

Golden Casket spokesperson Claire Taylor says it's possible the winners were on holiday at the time of the draw and are yet to check their lucky numbers.

"We're all guilty of shoving that pile of papers in a drawer or cupboard in a quick tidy-up and being a bit slow to unpack from holiday, so the division-winning ticket could be just waiting for rediscovery," Ms Taylor said.
