Search continues for missing Qld man

Police and emergency services personnel are conducting a land and water search in Brisbane's north as they hunt for any sign of missing man Samuel Thompson.

The 22-year-old was last seen on CCTV footage leaving his Albion home on Tuesday morning, and getting into his distinct orange-coloured Ford Mustang.

NSW Police on Thursday found the abandoned car in the small town of Wooyung, north of Byron Bay.

Police have confirmed a search is now underway in an area around Deep Water Bend, Bald Hills.
