Safety audits continue at Dreamworld

Safety reviews continue at Dreamworld, as a date for the park's reopening remains unclear.

The Gold Coast theme park announced on Wednesday it would permanently decommission the Thunder River Rapids ride following the fatal accident on October 25 which killed Kate Goodchild, Luke Dorsett, Roozi Araghi and Cindy Low.

Dreamworld chief executive Craig Davidson said the reopening decision wouldn't be rushed, with a full review of the park's attractions to be undertaken.

An internal review of all rides at the park is underway, as well as an independent audit by the Queensland Workplace Health and Safety authority.

The Australian Financial Review reports the park is losing an estimated $300,000 per day while it remains closed.
