Ruckus charge after Samoan PM church visit

A man who allegedly abused people and threw meat and eggs while the prime minister of Samoa was speaking at a Brisbane church will face court next year.

Talalelei Pauga is accused of interrupting a meeting at St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Parish in Marsden on November 14, where Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi was speaking about flights between Brisbane and Samoa.

Pauga, 41, from Riverview, did not appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday when his charge of committing public nuisance was briefly mentioned, and the case was adjourned until January 10.
