'Knee-jerk thought bubble': Row over Brisbane 2032 venue deepens
The fight over a controversial Brisbane 2032 venue has deepened, with the opposition again savaging the move to use the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC).
LNP leader David Crisafulli has doubled down on his criticism of QSAC, describing the premier's decision to use it as an Olympic venue as a "knee-jerk thought bubble".
"I won't stand for our state being embarrassed the way that it is at the moment," Crisafulli said.

But Premier Steven Miles is standing by his decision.
"The (International Olympic Committee), in their contribution to their venues review, identified QSAC as a suitable venue," he said.
The LNP remains the short-priced favourite to win next month's election and take control of the Games planning but there are still questions over what their Olympics would look like.

Crisafulli has committed to a 100-day review of venues but has repeatedly ruled out a new stadium.
"We're committed to that as part of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We do have a plan for generational infrastructure," he said.
That leaves the LNP with a choice to either use an existing venue such as the Gabba or break the no new stadium promise.
"He wants to build another $3 billion stadium," Miles said.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese fronted the media alongside Miles today.
"The Olympic Games here in Queensland will be a ripper," Albanese said.
