Rider collides with semi, cheats death

A Brisbane motorcyclist has survived being caught up in the wheels of a semi-trailer, in a stunning escape from almost certain death.

The rider and the truck collided at low speed on the Gateway Motorway at Nudgee on Tuesday afternoon.

The motorcyclist got caught up in the truck's wheels but was miraculously spat out again and managed to roll clear.

The 25-year-old suffered leg injuries and was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
