Reserve Bank governor to make Qld debut

Reserve Bank of Australia governor Philip Lowe is set to speak publicly in Queensland for the first time since assuming the top post.
Dr Lowe is scheduled to address a luncheon hosted by The Economic Society of Australia's Queensland branch in Brisbane on Thursday.
Dr Lowe joined the RBA in 1980, heading up several departments and served as deputy governor from 2012.

He assumed the role of governor in September 2016 after his predecessor, Glenn Stevens, stepped down from the top job.
