Ravenshoe gets cash for counselling

The grief-stricken community of Ravenshoe has been granted almost $160,000 for counselling services to aid its recovery from a deadly gas explosion.

Two people died and 18 others were injured as a result of the incident on June 9, which was triggered when an out-of-control ute ploughed through the Serves You Right cafe.

Member for Dalrymple Shane Knuth says $159,500 in state funding sought for much-needed counselling services has been approved.
