An aggressive dingo on Fraser Island has been euthanised after biting a tourist, the latest in a series of threatening encounters.

The male dog was destroyed by Queensland Parks and Wildlife officers following the latest incident on Sunday, when a 19-year-old man was bitten on the thigh while he was on the beach.

A month earlier it bit a woman on both legs in an attack which saw it fitted with a satellite tracking collar, allowing rangers to better understand, monitor and capture the dog.
