Queensland police officer stood down

A Queensland police officer under investigation by the state's corruption watchdog has been stood down over allegations of using excessive force.

The 38-year-old senior constable from Operations Support Command has been banned from official duties until the Crime and Corruption Commission completes its investigation.

Earlier this week a 53-year-old male sergeant was suspended after he was charged with weapons offences, while a 39-year-old senior constable was suspended after he allegedly drunkenly crashed a police car while off duty.
