Two men taken into custody after police stand-off in Queensland
Two men have been taken into custody after a six-hour stand-off with police in Queensland.
The incident forced the Toowoomba suburb of Newtown into lockdown after police declared an emergency declaration before midday.
The men were taken out of a Park Street property by police after 6pm following hours of negotiations.

A police presence remained in the area.
Officers were called to a property on Park Street at 10.45am to perform a search warrant.
Police said they began negotiations with a man who was at the residence with one other man and was believed to be in possession of a weapon.
Officers told residents to remain indoors and motorists to stay outside of the exclusion zone.
