THE DESTRUCTION CAUSED BY THE QLD FLOODS:

DEATHS:

* Nelson Raebel, 77. The Eagleby man's body was found in floodwaters by police on Saturday.

MISSING:

* 65-year-old man who went walking in Lamington National Park

* David Heidemann, 50, from Mondure, west of Gympie

* John Frost, 58, from Mount Pleasant in Mackay

DAMAGE BILL

* Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said on Monday it was continuing to rise, but she expected it to be in the "billions".

* Mackay and parts of southeast Queensland were the hardest hit areas. Rockhampton is also expected to be affected this week.

EVACUATIONS:

* Queensland police have urged residents in low-lying areas of Rockhampton to leave, but will not impose forced evacuations ahead of the Fitzroy River's expected peak of 9m on Thursday.

CLEAN UP:

* More than 1000 volunteers have registered to help residents in southeast Queensland whose homes were inundated by floodwaters.

* Emergency services and SES crews also remain on the ground.

* National Disaster Relief Assistance - the federal government via state will allow those who have lost possessions to recover them.

* Low-interest loans available from the federal government.
