Queensland amber alert man charged

A Brisbane man at the centre of an urgent Amber Alert after he allegedly dragged a boy and three teenagers into his car has been charged.

The three boys, aged five, 13 and 17, and a girl, aged 16, were found safe and well at a home in Loganlea on Friday night.

Police allege the Slacks Creek man forced another car, carrying the children, off the road on Friday afternoon.

The 37-year-old then threatened the driver with a baseball bat before forcing the children into his own car.

Police discovered the man hiding in a cupboard at the same house the children were found.

He was charged with threatening violence, contravention of a domestic violence order, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.

The man will appear at the Ipswich Magistrates Court on April 15.
