QR driver stood down over drug trafficking

A Queensland Rail driver has been stood down after allegedly running a drug trafficking network in the state's far north.
Queensland Rail said Graham Edward Parsons "has been stood down, pending an internal investigation and while the matter is before the courts".
Parsons was reportedly the driver in charge of QR's Cairns operations, heading up a team of 18 drivers, according to The Courier-Mail.

It is alleged Parsons trafficked marijuana between September 2014 and September 2016.
He is facing nine drug-related charges, including trafficking and possession of marijuana.
Parsons' case was mentioned in Cairns Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
It was adjourned until April 12.
