A tradie has been released from hospital with bruising after being pinned to a wall by a small forklift at a worksite west of Brisbane.

An Aurizon spokesman says one of the rail freight company's employees was injured in an accident involving a pallet stacker at Redbank on Wednesday morning, but the 45-year-old wasn't impaled by its arms as emergency services workers earlier suggested.

"He's out of hospital and apart from some bruising, he has no other substantial injuries, so it's a much better outcome than how it was initially reported," the spokesman told AAP.
