Qld truck driver dies after crash

A truck driver whose vehicle slid down an embankment following a crash in the Gold Coast hinterland has died of his injuries.

Queensland Ambulance Service said the truck collided with another vehicle in the remote suburb of Wongawallan on Thursday afternoon, causing the truck to roll 15 metres down an embankment, trapping the driver.

Rescue services worked to free the man, but police said he died shortly afterwards.
