Qld terror suspect granted legal aid

A man charged with terror-related offences who is being held on remand in Queensland has been granted legal aid.

Agim Kruezi, 23, is facing seven charges over allegations he stockpiled weapons in preparation for a terrorist act in Australia, was preparing for incursions into war-torn Syria, and recruited people to join that fight.

Legal Aid lawyer Kylie Bell told the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday that Kruezi's application had been approved but she had not been able to see him.

His case was adjourned until November 11.

Kruezi has been behind bars since September last year after he was arrested along with 32-year-old Omar Succarieh during counter-terrorism raids in Brisbane and Logan.

Succarieh, a former Islamic Centre bookstore owner, is also on remand after he was last month committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court.

He is facing three charges over allegations he helped arrange for Kruezi to join the fight in Syria and sent money to aid the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group.

A date has not yet been set for his trial.
