Four teenagers have been arrested after they crashed a stolen car in Brisbane as they tried to evade police.

Brisbane police spotted the black Holden Cruze, which had been stolen earlier on Sunday in Ipswich, about 9.52pm in Annerley. Officers followed the car but it sped up after the driver spotted the patrol car.

The driver then ran into the back of a car that was stationary at traffic lights at the intersection of Ipswich Road and Waterton Street, causing the car to roll before coming to rest against a power pole.

The four juveniles were caught at the scene. The 17-year-old male driver, and 17- and 14-year-old female passengers were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 17-year-old boy was unhurt.
